Jackals Field Hockey provides opportunities for female athletes to elevate their game to the next level to become Elite players. We do this through a rigorous year-round training schedule, a relentless focus on player development, playing in the most competitive leagues in the region, and competing in top-level recruiting tournaments.
Jackals Hockey Club was established in 2000 in the Metro DC area to help talented high school athletes develop their skill and compete in the most elite environments. The club’s focus is intensity driven while developing skill, using plyometrics and proper nutrition to train the complete female athlete.
The Club, and its umbrella organization, Champions of Tomorrow, was founded by head coach Jenna Ries. The only person to be named Washington Post All-Met as both a player and a coach, Ries played field hockey for the University of Maryland and pursued her passion for field hockey and lacrosse after college through coaching. She is the former varsity Field Hockey and Lacrosse coach at Quince Orchard High School, Athletic Director and Varsity Field Hockey and Lacrosse Coach at The Academy of the Holy Cross.
Champions of Tomorrow is a non-profit volunteer based organization. All member dues are put towards the costs of developing our athletes. We ask families to contribute only what is required to run a successful program. Our primary expenses are largely made up of rental costs for indoor and outdoor field space, tournament fees, costs for hiring trainers, coach travel costs, and coaching salaries.
Our coaches serve as positive role models for female athletes and bring a wealth of experience in elite level play in coaching our club teams.
Here’s why it works…
Why Club Field Hockey?
Club Field Hockey provides female athletes aged 8-18 the opportunity to continue to develop their skills and play competitively beyond the Fall High School Season. Our teams are coached by current and former field hockey standouts, including former collegiate players who provide a strong role model and the know-how to develop strong, competitive athletes.
